What is a barcamp?

A Barcamp, sometimes also called an unconference, is characterised by the fact that there is no predetermined programme. Instead, all attendees can contribute their experience, knowledge and ideas and propose sessions. Sessions can have very different formats, including ‘classic’ presentations, discussion rounds, creative workshops, joint programming and much more.

Sessions are similar to presentation slots at conferences. However, they can have very different formats. In addition to ‘classic’ presentations, sessions can include discussion rounds, creative workshops, joint programming, and more.

Ask sessions, a particularly engaging format, turn the tables on traditional presentations. Instead of presenting knowledge yourself, you pose thought-provoking questions to the audience. For instance, ‘What characterises a good prompt?’ or ‘What experiences have you had with the various LLMs such as Mistral, Gemini, Claude, etc.?’ This format sparks a dynamic exchange of ideas, often leading to more questions and lively discussions, making Barcamps interactive and engaging.

In this Google Doc, you will find the sessions of the 1st AI Camp Würzburg on 12 June 2024.

A session lasts 45 minutes.
